Location: Ottawa, Canada

Salary: unpaid; voluntary

Position overview

Volunteer Engagement Coordinator reports to the Co-Presidents and is responsible for supporting the Executive Body by way of connecting volunteers to needs that have been identified by the Executive Body.

Roles & Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities of the VP Volunteer Engagement include:

  • Systematically recruiting, connecting and retaining volunteers into the EWB Ottawa community.

  • Coordinating social events that serve to recruit members and provide avenues for pre-existing members to connect and socialize.

  • Keeping tabs on volunteer resources to ensure that their workload is in harmony with their commitment level.

  • Informing the President and leadership about the overall health of the chapter

Experience

This position does not require any specific experience, however it is considered an asset if the candidate has any of the following experience:

  • Volunteer coordination/recruitment or managing a team

  • Community outreach and previous volunteer experience

  • Prior EWB-related involvement (student/city chapter, national office, social change fellow, etc)
